About BattleMex:

Set in New Aztlán, an alternate version of Mexico that was never conquered, BattleMex leverages familiar anime tropes (tokusatsu, kaiju and magical transformation) and blends them with Mexican culture to bring a Hispanic-Futurist world to life.

Our three, young heroes (ELIZA, CARLOS and JESSALYN) were chosen by ancient nagual gems of power when they were just children. The gems allow the bearer to call on the abilities of their animal spirits and shapeshift into their unique guardian forms. They were trained in a secret government program called "Guardian Battleforce Mexica" by Eliza’s mother, as part of her relentless efforts to prepare for the coming battle.

As the story begins, El Cuco has been freed from his centuries-old prison and unleashed on New Aztlán. And the nagual guardians of Team BattleMex are all that stand in his way.
